Find us out in the community!

Until we are able to secure a permanent location for the Cat Museum of New York City, you can find us at markets, tables, and pop-up events throughout the city. We host these events to meet you, find out what kind of museum you want, share information about cat care/rescue/culture/art, raise funds toward a brick-and-mortar space, discover cat artists/vendors/partners and rescuers, and build a cat-loving community. Check this page for our latest market appearance schedule.

Note: Please leave your cat or other pet at home for our events, for their comfort and safety—even if they are harness-trained. We’d love to see photos of them!

Amsterdam Open Streets Pop-Up Market (Upper West Side, Manhattan)

Come meet our board, shop, enter our raffle, and get a sketch of your pet!

From ~1pm to 5pm, we are offering a free sketch by two ameowzing sketch artists with any donation of $10 or greater: animator, illustrator, and SVA junior @maxximanic returns, and newly joining us is Brandi Monard (@createxbrandi). Please do not bring your live cat or other live pet; leave them at home for their comfort and bring a photo our artists can work from.

We will have some merchandise for sale, including prints, stickers, and magnets from internationally beloved artist Heloísa Nora, aka Poorly Drawn Cats, and custom museum-branded keychains, magnetic notepads, and holiday ornaments made by local artist Emma Sadler of Silly Sketched Pets. By popular demand, we’re also selling posters with our logo.
